An Unparalleled Surfing Experience

Inspired by traditional Hawaiian watercraft, legacy shapers, and artisan craftsmanship, Bizia has developed a proprietary chambered design made possible with digital fabrication and close attention to detail.

Our surfboards use certified invasive albizia removed from Hawaii’s forests and are 100% locally made by our manufacturing team in Wahiawā, Hawai’i.

Regenerative Lumber

Our lumber is sourced solely from The Albizia Project’s Certified Regenerative Lumber Program.

They harvest unwanted albizia wood from removal projects on Oʻahu and work with partner organizations to restore native ecosystems where trees are removed.

The wood is then milled into lumber, dried and distributed.

Technology + Craftsmanship

Once a board design is perfected by our team of shapers, advanced technology is used to manufacture components with a high level of accuracy.

We then shape and detail the boards by hand. Because of the natural variation in the wood grain and color, no two boards are ever the same.

It is about a 2-week process to complete a run of 8 boards.

Bio-Based Glassing

Modern foam surfboard glassing uses petroleum-based resins and fiberglass to cast their outer shell. Unfortunately, these finishes are highly toxic to our environment.

We have evolved to using a bio-based resin by Entropy and eliminated the need for fiberglass thanks to the natural wood fibers that make up our boards.

In some cases when extra fiber strength is needed, recycled fiberglass is used.
